Facility: Rosetown and District Health Centre
Job Description: The Occupational Health Nurse is accountable for assessment, planning, implementing and evaluation of the health and health risks for Health Care Providers employed with the Saskatchewan Health Authority.  The Occupational Health Nurse integrates clinical expertise with occupational health and public health methodologies to provide confident, ethical, autonomous decisions to fulfill the Occupational Health Nurse scope of practice.  


Required Qualifications

Bachelor Degree in Nursing
Current CPR Certification
Occupational Health Nursing Certificate or Occupational Health and Safety Diploma
Experience
Minimum 1 year experience in Occupational Health or Public Health Nursing with preference towards Occupational Health experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Ability to manage programs within budgetary parameters.
Ability to manage time and competing deadlines, work under pressure, and establish priorities
Ability to travel when necessary.
Ability to work independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team
Demonstrated ability to apply research to design, manage, coordinate and provide an advanced level of care as part of a multidisciplinary team
Demonstrated ability to plan, develop, implement, monitor and evaluate education programming
Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to provide leadership in an ever-changing environment
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
General understanding of OH&S Legislation
Intermediate computer skills with experience in Excel and Word
Knowledge of adult education and learning principles, and ability to integrate into programs and strategies
