Plumber Assistant

Reports To : MFN Project Manager/Journeyman Plumber  
Plumber assistant will report to the Journeyman Plumber.
The Plumber assistant will work as a team member with the Journey person Plumber to maintain a positive relationship with the MFN membership and co workers.

Duties
Represent MFN in a professional, courteous and customer service-oriented manner on each call.
Assist with on-site problem diagnosis, fixed right the first time and continual value-added communication with the residential occupant.
Asist with install, maintenance, and repair all types of furnace systems and components.
Asist with install, maintenance, and repair plumbing fixtures.
Asist with the installation, repair, and maintain water heaters.
Cut opening in walls and floors to accommodate pipe and pipe fittings as directed.
Measure, cut, bend and thread pipes using hand and power tools or machines.
Join pipes using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, or soldering, brazing, and welding equipment.
Test pipes for leaks using air and water pressure gauges.
Adhere to all safety rules and procedures and relevant regulatory requirements.
Maintain all building codes, installation requirements and relevant legislation.
Maintain a list of proper care and maintenance for preventative maintenance.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all modern equipment and regulations.

Must be willing to work flexible hours, evenings, and weekends.
Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
Outstanding customer service skills. Experience in Mechanics would be an asset.
Excellent verbal and communication skills
Must have a driver's license with clean drivers abstract.
Must have a reliable vehicle. Must be physically capable of performing all work required of this position.  Must be able to pass the MFN SGI package policy.
Successful applicant must submit a clean CPIC (Criminal Records Check)
