Responsibilities:
Facilitates and promotes a safe and positive working environment for all employees, visitors and contractors.
Develops, implements and trains others on Standard Operating Procedures as it relates to equipment set-up and use.
Focuses on continuous improvement for equipment/line set-up, bringing forward ideas and suggestions for improvements to the maintenance supervisor or through technology systems provided. Works with other stakeholders as required in implementing continuous improvement projects that will provide cost reduction, safety improvements, efficiency improvements and production accuracy.
Ensures applicable packaging lines, and associated equipment/machinery, has been set-up in the most optimal and efficient way possible to allow for the highest possible efficiency, quality and production accuracy for the next scheduled shift.
Develops and implements autonomous maintenance activities, along with creating and implementing daily, weekly and monthly autonomous maintenance schedules. Provides training to operators on Autonomous Maintenance activities as required.
Performs troubleshooting on equipment/machinery that is not working optimally, involving other stakeholders as needed.
Provides production break relief for packaging line operators as required.
Provides strong customer focus/service to internal customers (i.e. packaging operators, Lead Hands, Team Leads and Production Supervisor).
Desired Qualifications:
3-5 years of machine operations experience within a manufacturing environment is required.
Any related post-secondary training in electronics, automation or industrial mechanics would be an asset.
Strong attention to detail/accuracy, mechanical aptitude and trouble shooting skills.
Strong teamwork, collaboration and customer service skills.
This role will be performed in English and requires fluency in English.
