Qualifications
Industrial site experience is an asset
Basic computer knowledge
Minimum 18 years of age
Must be physically fit
Must be clean shaven
Must be able to pass D&A test
Must speak and write English fluently
Must provide CSA approved steel toe boots
Responsibilities
Participate in all pre-job and daily tailgate meetings
Some projects require standing watch of the confined space (up to 12 hours)
May be responsible for confined space activities and record entrance(s) and exit(s) on
relative log sheets
Operate radio to communicate as required
Assess work-site hazards
Monitor hot work activities and know how to operate fire extinguisher, inform relative
authorities, and safely evacuate the area in case of emergency
Monitor atmospheric air quality using electronic gas monitor devices
Wear a respirator protection mask where necessary
Communicate all hazards and conditions involved in the work site with Supervisor
Help workers don / doff SCBA / SABA
Monitor all workers on site at all times
Create confined space rescue plan for each confined space
Clean and inspect all equipment while on site and when back at the shop
Prep / complete all needed paperwork
