Summer Student Job Summer Student Job

Description

The Autism Resource Centre, a non-profit organization in Regina, offers summer programs for Autistic youth. The day camp is both goal-oriented and lots of fun! Youth learn life skills and participate in recreational activities throughout the city. All participants are paired one-to-one with a staff member who assist with instruction and ensuring each participant has a safe and positive summer. In this position, you will gain valuable hands-on experience working with neurodiverse youth. Historically, our camps have a high number of campers that identify as male; therefore, we need to hire adequate male staff for safety/support reasons as our community has limited all-gender public washrooms.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Ability to swim in deep water (daily activity)
Interest in/knowledge of Autism
Adaptable & energetic personality to keep up with campers, schedule of events

TERMS:
Available to work weekdays 8:45 AM - 3:15 PM July 3 to August 22, 2024
Must submit a CRC with Vulnerable Sector Search upon hire

The Autism Resource Centre strives to achieve provincial equity targets set by the Saskatchewan Human Rights Commission and welcomes applications from all qualified individuals, including persons with disabilities, neurodiverse people, members of visible minorities, Indigenous persons, members of gender and sexually diverse groups. We encourage applicants to identify if they belong to any equity-seeking groups.
