Term Part-Time Position - 22 shifts in 6-week period

To Start ASAP to August 31, 2024

Community Living Service Delivery (CLSD), Crisis and Respite Services works with individuals experiencing intellectual disabilities to ensure their physical, emotional, and social needs are met with goal of supporting their independence, living arrangements, and lifestyle as independent as possible.

Community Residential Workers focus on creating positive, engaging experiences for those we work with. We are seeking a creative and energetic individual who welcomes challenge, is proactive, loves to learn and embraces change, has a strong work ethic, and enjoys variety in their work while making positive meaningful changes in peoples lives.

Brigham Home in Moose Jaw requires a caring, enthusiastic positive role model for the Community Residential Worker position to support clients in living their lives to their fullest. In this rewarding position, your work will promote and support your clients independence through individualized/group programming and community participation geared to their own individualized needs.

Typically, the level of knowledge and skills for this position is obtained through post-secondary education in a related human service field such as Disability Support Worker, Psychology or Social Work and/or gained through related experience working in a therapeutic capacity with people with intellectual disabilities who may display complex and challenging behaviours.

This position is a shift work position; the successful candidate will operate a vehicle supplied by the Ministry.

Please note, employees may be exposed to the risk of violent (behavioural) situations in which PART training reinforces safety concerns and assists in precautionary measures.
